FSCA warns the public against ‘Fraudulent e-mail purporting to come from FSCA’
The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) would like to warn the public against a group of individuals who are fraudulently impersonating the FSCA.
The individuals are believed to be using the email address, email@example.com to target and lure unsuspecting members of the public to divulge private and sensitive information.
The FSCA has learned that the imposturous emails circulating, may contain the FSCA’s physical address and links that may direct the user to an official FSCA website which may make it difficult to identify the email as being fraudulent and malicious.
The FSCA does not have any affiliation with the individuals or the email address they are using. Members of the public are urged to be cautiously vigilant and to report any suspicious communication purporting to come from the FSCA.
